Ideas please

The link you gave goes to a "general" page with links to various pages about caudates. Which tank?
 
In general, it's nicer if you can post the photo here on the forum directly - people are a lot more likely to look at it. Use the "upload attachment" link below when posting - the photo is uploaded directly from your hard drive, not from photobucket.

Offhand, I'd suggest moving the land shelf to the back of the tank, rather than having it in front. I would turn the filter output toward the glass (not for appearance, but to decrease the current and make the newt happier).
 
I'd recommend more plants or something.
 
Ok. At the moment i have a pile of stones infront of the filter lol. I shall do that with the filter, i was going to move that land anyway, and i will add LOTS more plants but i am skint at the moment.
