Hello everyone,
I'm new to the forum! I've been an aquarium enthousiast for a few years, actually have a Dario dario (Scarlet Badis) biotope set up right now. I've always been interested in imitating a natural habitat and getting as close to a certain biotope as I can. Besides that I prefer low-tech set ups and 'dirted tanks' by the Walstad method.
Anyway, I'm rambling. Besides aquaria I've also started taking an interest in so called eco jars or whatever they are called. Here in the Netherlands we'd probably just call them plants in a jar
I mostly got inspired by channels like Serpadesign.
Recently I started thining about combining both hobbies and starting a paludarium. I've started looking into low-tech set-ups and which occupants could live under those conditions. I ended up with C. orientalis and a colony of N. davidi. After that I started to research C. orientalis' biotope and which plants I could use. I'll share my findings soon enough in the appropiate section.
I'm currently preparing the build, just awaiting some last materials before I can start. I'll try to share some decent pictures of the build aswell when the time comes.
I hope to learn a lot and also contribute to the forum.
Regards,
Niels
