I'm getting a new Golden Albino axolotl and It'll be called Dragoon II but it's not gonna be a small baby like I've mentioned in my signature... it's probably a 2-3mth old because it's almost 10-13cm long I think. It's gonna be today!!

I hope you have better luck than you did with your first one

Thanks... I had always loved Axolotls since I was 4 and saw them in a tank bumping into the glass wall and thought it was quite amusing that they do that but it wasn't until last year's chrissy that I got a 1mth old (I think?) golden albino.

It's a success! Dragoon II is happy in his new home... I went to the pet shop and finally got my Nitrate (NO2) and Ammonia test kits. I asked a guy for the axolotl and he asked what one I liked so I was about to ask for a melanoid black but chose a Golden Albino... this is what he said "Which one do you like?" then I said "The biggest Golden Albino." so he got one which IS the biggest there and took it out into a bag. Dragoon II kicked in the bag when I was walking out of the shop but he settled down and is quite happy now and not stressed or anything. He built himself a little mound last night and it was pretty funny.

go to www.axolotl.org gives you everything you need to know to start up. if you have anymore questions feel free to ask. and welcome!

it might sound domb but on the picture of the web site you gave me it shows some picking up ther axolotl up. can they breath out of water?

They have lungs so they can breath out of water... but it is not recommened that you pick them up or touch them unless you have to.

That's true... I take axolotls out of water only to put it in another container to clean the tank.
