Hello, I have been using Interpret Fresh Start 1 for my Axolotes that's costing me £14 for a pack of 3 (10ML in size). My Axolotes tank is 200 litre and i'm finding that the stuff is not lasting and have to keep buying the stuff. I seen on eBay INTERPET BIOACTIVE TAPSAFE made by the same makers of Interpret Fresh Start 1. It comes in all size from 500ML for £11.49 and 250ML for £8.45.

I was tinkling about getting some but did not know if this is safe for my Axolotes.
Then paying out £14 for a pack of 3 Fresh start 1 and not lasting. I can go and buy this for £11 what as more init.

It says this on the web page if this helps.

What do you guys think?
Thank you

You can use any dechlorinator - there are loads of alternatives in different sizes and prices. Do some research on the internet.

I use plain sodium thiosufate crystals and make my own solution, you get aloe vera in the shop bought ones.

I have got some of that stuff what i use for my tropical fish. I did not know if that stuff was fine for Axolotls.

It is very good stuff :D

So is it best using that stuff on my tropical fish and my Axolotls?

Thank you

Yeah api stress coat (i dont think they have fresh water or saltwater varieties but you obv want freshwater type) will be fine for axies, i think its if it contains iron its bad for them but im not 100% on that.
Just be careful to use the right amount or the aloe will build up in the tank and make everything very slimy

Sounds good.
Thank you very much for your help :D

P.s lovely Axolotls :D

API Stress Zyme will also help the bacteria in your filters to purify the water.

so API Stress Coat is safe for use in my tiger salamander larvae's tank? what about

Is API Stress Coat, Stress Zyme and API Tap Water Conditioner safe to use in my water dogs (tiger salamander larvae) tank?
It wont harm her? I am trying to find some not so expensive water detoxifiers and cleaners that are safe for my water dog. Its hard to keep her tank water from smelling with the really small bottle of aquasafe ive been using. I have hard water so its hard to keep the water decent. Constant partial water changes. So im going through a good amount of aquasafe. I also have fish so i have seperate water treatments as well. I wanted to know if itd be safe to use TopFin bacteria suppliment, API stress coat and API tap water conditioner for my salamander larvae...

API stress coat IS a tap water conditioner. If it says on the bottle 'removes chlorines, cloramines and heavy metals' then its a dechlorinator/conditioner :D

Im not sure what the other stuff is, but from what i can see on google, its a bacteria for your filter.
If you tank is already cycled then adding this is pointless.

You should only ever use one dechlorinator/conditioner as otherwise you will be adding too many chemicals and this will do more damage than good.
Always use only one and make sure you use the exact amount it says too :D
