Hello all,

I am looking for those who have worked with Megophrys nasuta. I've had a healthy male for several years and FINALLY got 2 beautiful adult females. Anyone have any breeding experiences to share? One of the females was seen in amplexus with males at the dealer facility and she is really huge. I normally keep new herps in isolation for about a month, but am concerned that she would need to be in the presence of my male to lay developing eggs successfully. Does she need to lay regardless of amplexus now? Can she carry the eggs for the entire isolation? I've kept true chameleons and leaf tailed geckos, but this is my first amphibian and I don't want to lose her to ignorance. Each female is in a sweater box with unbleached paper towel substrate, cork hides, shallow water pan. Misted several times a day with a mix of rainwater and RO filtered water. Temps range from 67-71 F, humidity ranges from 60-80%. Neither is eating yet, but I've only had them 3 days.

Anyone with words of wisdom or advice would be welcome!

Thank you!

You should post this in the Anuran section. Not everyone reads the Introduction section.

In any case, welcome to the site.

Thanks! I did draft a rather long message in the Ranidae forum but it did not go through for some reason. I'll do it again.
