Leviathan is now 8CM big and 4 months old. Recently we’ve noticed he’s almost “interacting” with his reflection in the tank. He spends a lot time staring at himself also so I’m worried he may be lonely (I know they apparently cant get “lonely” but I still worry ahaha) so I’m considering introducing a 3.5month old copper of a similar size. Any tips on a successful pairing?

I paired two axolotls not too long ago :) I started with a divider, keeping them separate until they grew closer in size for a few weeks. Then I took out the divider and they were fine. Axolotls are not territorial so you shouldn't have any problem pairing them, but if one is small enough to get a leg stuck in the others mouth, then I would reccomend a divider for the time being.

And have at least one hide per axolotl so they have plenty of places to hide from each other :)

Thank you! So far so good ?

Keep an eye out for nipping, there looks to be a bit of size difference and young ones like to bite everything. Separate if you see any bad behaviour :) Very nice colour on the darker one!

I will do, thank you. Up to now they’ve both been very well behaved! Making sure they’ve got food to eat at all times as opposed to eating each other aha
