Is a salt bath good for an injured newt ?

hello i have a crocidile (mandarin) newt and she nas an injury on her tail which we presume was caused by her partner. we have seperated her and but her in clean water, she has only eaten once in the week she has been in their and is shedding a lot of skin. She has healed partially but cannot properley use her back legs. I was wondering would a salt bath help her? any other help would be much appreciated.

i had a spanish ribbed newt that had i massive cut and i managed to heal her with tamodine by bathing the wound every day but the back leg thing sounds not to promising justin
