Is it legal to send newt eggs across state lines?

Its crazy if there is a ban going on right now. Because you can find adult newts and larvae for sale right know on ebay. 2/24/16
Pluse i have a red box so you might not want my advice. But the guy i got my noto viridescens louisianensis off of has more . He has 100% feedback . Only one problem since November i have had to remove over 150 eggs from there tank.

It is legal to ship salamander eggs across state borders in most instances.

That's a relief to know! The ban might be manageable then if it must stay in place. Especially since they apparently haven't been enforcing it on Ebay.

When enforcement comes it won't be just busting one person here and their. It will come in a big sweep.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
