My baby leucistic (about two inches) has been eating frozen bloodworms up to last week, when I started chopping up nightcrawlers and trying to feed him those. He ate two pieces and every piece I tried to give him after that, he spit up. Somebody told me to try washing them and making sure they contain no bile, but he still spit them up today.

I was worried I would run out of bloodworms soon (and I need to stop using them anyway) so I bought this axolotl pellet food off Amazon.

It came today and he ate several pieces, but I noticed these weird shapes in his belly. Are these normal ? I know he looks a bit skinny, its due to his pickiness lately. He was normal a few days ago.

Re: Is it possible for an axe to have an allergic reaction ?

I wouldn't use those pellets - the first ingredient is soy bean. Although they are advertised for axies I wouldn't say they are suitable.
Yes, it is possible that an axie can have an allergic reaction, but in this case I'd say the hard pellets are causing the bumps.
2 inches is a bit small to be giving nightcrawlers, you could try some smaller worms such as red wrigglers or dendros, but bloodworm will be sufficient at this age.

Whats wrong with soybean ? Is it so bad that i cant occasionally feed them to him?..I spent all the money I can on these pellets :/

Axolotls are carnivores, any pellets you buy should have a fish ingredient at the top of the list. You can use them in conjunction with worms or bloodworms, but I would get a different one next time.
