Illness/Sickness: Is my Axolotl sick?

Hi! I recently got Axolotls from a friend and the leucitistic ones right Gill is incredibly short. Is this normal!?

Do you know if they have always been like this? Gill size is partly determined by genetics, but it does look like one side in particular has shrunken.
Post your water temp and parameters, as they can have a big affect on the gills.
