Is my axolotl too fat?

Hey I am a first time axolotl owner. I got Fred almost a year ago and he's about 12 inches long. He looks insanely fat to me and I'm worried something is wrong or that I have beennover feeding him. I feed him one night crawler every Tuesday and Thursday and two on Saturdays. I need advice please. I love my little guy and I want to make sure I'm not harming him.

Can you get side side-on pictures? He may be a dwarf.
 
He seems a bit chubby, but I'd need a top view picture to get a better idea. He's very handsome though!

I'd say he looks like a dwarf also, I can't tell if he is or if its distortion from the angle you took the photo. Please get some proper side on photographs and we can assist you further! If he's a dwarf he will look rounder because he's shorter in body length x

He does seem a little pudgy, but I'd need to see more photos like they said above.
