Is my tank too hot? What can I do?

Hello everyone I have a 40 gallon tank all set up that I plan to put an axolotl or two in but I think its to warm right now at 22 Celsius. What can I do to cool it down? Im thinking of putting it in the basement which should cool it a bit but I need something that will reliably keep it cool. I live in Canada so the house is pretty cool most of the time especially in the basement so I really don't want to buy a chiller just to cool it down a few degrees since I likely wont need cooling in the winter months. I've never kept species that need cold water so I have no idea what my options are.

Frozen pop bottles help quite a bit. I've also taken one of those car visors and cut it to the size of my tank, stuck it to cardboard, and voilà. It keeps sun out, traps the coolness from the pop bottles that lasts way longer. Hope that helps!

Moving to the basement could also help. And try a fan too blowing over the top of the tank to increase evaporation.

Thanks im going to move my tank to the basement and monitor the temp if it needs to go a few more degrees down il try a fan. What type of fan? Id imagine one of those big fans meant to cool houses would probably cause to much water flow which i heard axolotls dont like.

I've got a bedside fan on my tank and two mini fans as well. They don't seem to cause too much disturbance. My guy is fat and happy.
