Ok, I'll keep you updated if anything happensI think it's just slime shed from the chlorine exposure. Just keep using the Seachem Prime to dechlorinate.
I'm not sure what's wrong but it looks like he is getting worse, water has been declorinated temp is 60 has an air pump 7.6 ph 0 ammonia 0 nitrites 0 nitrates in tub but he is getting red spots and not moving mucharound the gill areas there are signs of fungus,
Should I fridge him?around the gill areas there are signs of fungus,
Sorry man, just fater I took the picture I noticed he wasn't moving at all, I've tried changing water still won't move same with tea bath but it's to late.read up about and use holtfreters in the water, ideally same as author with 0.1g magnesium sulphate, info Axolotls - Requirements & Water Conditions in Captivity
if you cant get the chemicals for holtfreters straight away use 2g - 3g salt per litre of water (ideally non iodinised ie.. marine, but at this point any salt is better than non)
fridging him/her might give your axolotl the extra time to heal so yes, if you can set the fridge no lower than
Yes, it's gills weren't moving at all (flicking) and when I tried giving it a tea bath he just sunk sideways and didn't moveWhat?!? Are you sure he's gone?!?
Oh no... that's sad...maybe there's still a sign of life???Yes, it's gills weren't moving at all (flicking) and when I tried giving it a tea bath he just sunk sideways and didn't move
Sorry I tried picking it up to see if it would move and it wouldn't and it had red marks everywhere, when I saw it around noon it was barely able to move, also its eyes are paleOh no... that's sad...maybe there's still a sign of life???
Yeah I'm fine just bummed that I couldn't get him to get better, after fridging and tea baths seems like he got hit my fungus and ammonia burn at the same time and he couldn't recoverPoor guy...I'm so sorry for your loss.
You doing ok?
