I obtained a N. kaiseri from a breeder last month on September 29th. It's a yearling, still has some gill remnants. I have it set up in a ten gallon, mostly aquatic with a large piece of cork for some land if it chooses to haul out, plenty of live plants and a lower hide spot. (The breeder said he kept his all aquatic).

I have yet to see it eat anything. In the past I gave all my new animals a few days to adjust when I get them before I offer food but this guy is taking its sweet time! i have offered it small pieces of earthworm, bloodworms, small crickets, small waxworms and right now I have a ball of tubifex worms in there which I have yet to witness it pick at and I can't really see if the mass is any fewer than when I placed it in there.

Is this normal for this animal? It HAS shed twice since I have had it but it doesn't eat the shed. Thanks.
