As far as I can see the plant on the picture is a hydrocotyle, not sure about the exact species though...

I have the plant growing on my windowsill, I found it in a greenhouse growing i the shade under a table. I guess it means its quite happy with a cool and shady position, so perhaps it would do good in a vivarium?

However I have found that it can grow pretty fast and colonize large areas rapidly so caution might be needed when grown in small spaces..

Good luck, be sure to post a pic of the finished vivarium!

No problem will sure post pics of the completed tank, working on it right now.
Also grooming bird's nest fern at the same time.

i heard this plant can be fully cultivated in water, will be trying, and yes it multiplies real fast, so i think regular grooming has to be done

U can try fittonia too. They're well suited to terrariums and they need humidity. They come pretty cheap and are very gorgeous. They're gg for abt Sgd 3.90.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
