My axolotl just laid 100 eggs 5 days ago. I wanted some advice :)

I have separated 20 eggs per plastic container. I have started a daphnia culture as well for food. I have no idea how much food these little guys will need but i'm prepared to buy extra food. I also am thinking of getting smaller containers and putting one axolotl in each once they start growing front legs. How many eggs do you think will hatch? how big do they have to be to eat bloodworms?

It's my first time raising axolotls and I really don't want to cull any. I have lots and lots of time to care for them.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
