lol, no they just do what has to be done. no courtship. i have seen my axolotls kiss eachother!! they were probably just sniffing or looking at each other i thought they were going to try eat each other.

Actually the nitty gritty is a fairly drawn out ritual involving the laying of sperm cones and the male trying to nudge the female over them. It's pretty obvious and interesting to watch.

What’s annoying to watch is when the female is trying to lay her eggs and the male keeps on nudging. Well that’s what mine did anyway (my poor girl)
