I recently got two juvenile axolotls from a rescue, their bodies are approximately 3-4 inches right now and are living in a divided 40 gallon. I've been feeding them chopped red wrigglers and some bloodworms. But my one axolotl is very picky about taking the red wrigglers, I cut them off and rinse/soak in hot water to try and get rid of any bitterness, but she is still only taking like maybe one or two pieces, the rest she spits out. She takes the bloodworms much better, but I'm concerned they're not sufficient. Is there anything else I can do to encourage her to eat more? Are there other smaller worms that she can eat? I have nightcrawlers but they're too large. Any advice would be much appreciated!
