Hi guys, i'm a newbie:confused:
can i get your opinions on your setup for kaiser newts?
all aquatic?

mostly aquatic with haul out?

half land half water?
how often do you see them on land if given the opportunity?
thank you in advance for your patience with a newbie like myself

any turtle questions i ca help as well

We have species care sheets and other information. See the links in my sig and poke about. Here is the care sheet for Neurergus kaiseri.

thanks for the response...sorry what is a sig? and i don't see the link for the care sheet either

thank you Jennewt and Otter.
has anyone kept their kaiser newts with fish?
guppies or small plecos like otocinclus?

You should not mix your newts with anything else besides the same species of newts. They have different requirements and why take a risk of something going wrong especially with newts as Beautiful as Kaisers? :) Do you have the kaisers yet?

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
