Was wondering if some people could post pics of their Kaiseri tank set ups! I am currently keeping my trio in a 10 gallon with a small internal filter, some java moss, fake plants, and a turtle dock but will be building a custom 15 gallon for them. Just looking for some tips for their setup regarding plants since the prefer low light, substrate, and land portion. I would like to build a semi aquatic setup with a land portion.

Whiteblaze, I think a shared a few ideas earlier, but java moss, java fern, moss balls, possibly some anubias, and floating water lettuce would work well. aquariumplants.com has many good choices in their low-light section. Temps may be a little cool for some of these plants in a proper newt temp range, but they generally adapt ok.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
