I can only imagine that this moss is being used in terrestrial enclosures, particularly on hunks of cork bark. I've been using Kyoto moss in my Dendrobatid tanks for some time now, and I've recently starting spreading some spores on moist pieces of cork bark to see if they'll take. Kept moist and under moderate-low light, you should see some growth in 3-4 weeks.
Kyoto moss spores are easily found on ebay or from bonsai retailers.
