Has anyone seen these around yet or tried one out.I saw some today. They look cool. They are a lot bigger than I thought they would be too.I don't know if I will try one though. There are too many non-essential items with it and not enough essential items for the price.

Well, its fascinating looking and seems very big, but whats the price?

Those dimensions are = to about a 20 gl long aquarium and those are much more versatile, (I think) more easily divided too.

Just a thought.

The dimensions are a bit smaller than a 15-gallon tank (which is 24x12x12 inches). What bothers me is why the water volume is only 2.5 gallons (10 liters). If that's really all the water it can hold, it would not be very useful for an animal that spends much time in the water.

Jenn, it said the water capacity is 2 1/2 gallons UP TO the basking area. So if you filled it up over the basking area, i'm sure it would hold more. I also assume that the basking area is molded from the wall (one piece) so there's no water under the basking area, decreasing water volume, but not overall dimensions. Though they do look nice!

The basking area is removeable.I put the measurements into a water volume calculator I have and the total volume of the set up is just under 20 US gallons believe it or not. That does not take into consideration the Bow front however. That would lover the overall volume by 1.5 to 3 gallons. So this thing has potential.I may grab one if I see it on sale.
As far as price they are 59.99 Canadian in a cheap place here and 29.99-39.99 US on ebay.

I've seen them at Pet Smart. They are pricey, but I'm glad to see the more versatile enclosures for beginners and kids. I'm involved with educating kids of all ages and it is difficult for them to create something from scratch out of a square bare tank, with out risking harming their new pet. Some mistakes with setups can be fatal. It also takes into account the variations of habbitats for different animals. This is always a hot educational issue when newbies are trying to get set up for their new pet. The pet shop doesn't even get it right and do not give out the right information. 20 years ago we did not have all the different herp supplies they have now. It's kinda cool...move over "Habi-trail"...here comes "newt-condos"...

As a turtle owner.....I know those styles to be called death bowls (just prettier ones than what was found in the 80's) I am disgusted that site even mentioned the word turtles.....No turtle would do good in those tanks for long......to be honest, I wouldnt put my CFB's in there......

Its hard to believe those dimensions to be true either if it only hold 2.5g of water......

Just my two cents

They are bigger than they look...My local pet shop got one in today...It dont look as big as a 10 not near a 20 but it is bigger than how they look.
