Hello all, I have been an avid herphead since I first got some fire belly newts from a local store ate the age of 6. I have always been mainly interested in fully aquatic species. Mainly mudpuppys, hellbenders, and sirens. I have recently aquired a complete 55 gal tank setup I have longed to have for years and was hoping to use it to house a lesser siren. I hate to bother with repeat questions but the searches I have looked up have yeilded little results. The most answers I can seem to find give advice on how to catch them. Problem is I live in Minnesota, far from any wild sirens. So I would have to have it shipped. I have only found ONE site selling the lesser species but was waiting till today, payday to order one and unfortunately they sold out their stock about 3 days ago. Any points in the right direction to help me acheive one of my life goals of owning one of these creatures would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance!
