Anyone have any luck building light fixture for their tanks? I'm thinking about trying some of the compact flourescent bulbs and there are some online plans, but I wondered if anyone has actually tried it. I'll be using 30g tanks, which are 36" long and need only enough light to maintain the plants for egg laying and for photoperiod simulation...
