Question: Live plants for a tiger salamander?

Sorry if I posted this in the wrong forum. :uhoh:

I'm hoping to get a tiger salamander soon, and I was wondering if they would prefer an enclosure with live plants, or if fake ones would be sufficient. Thanks!
 
It's really up to your personal preference. Tigers don't really need plants at all. If you do use live plants, it would be best to pot them and bury the pot in the substrate, as the Tiger would most likely up-root it while digging.
 
If you do decide to use plants then a broad leaf type of pothos stands up really well to the trampling the tiger salamander will put it through.
