Looking weak and not growing ...... help

my axolotl pablo is looking a bit sick wen i first got him hew was the stronger 1 and my other axie was weak and now he dosnt eat as much and is less active and resently has been floating ontop i thourt he was dead he wouldnt move but was still alive and hasnt done much at all today
can any1 help me please

hey clay, good to see youve found you way here and i hope we can all help you get your axies sorted.

first things first- is the tank cycled?

for now i would put the floating one in the fridge, have a read around here or do a search for some more info on that, as long as your fridge is above 5C its ok for it. that will keep him nice and calm and give him some time to de-stress without starving as their metabolism slows so they dont require as much food, still offer it during the 100% daily water changes youll do

pablo seems ok now i dont no wat was up wit her/him i have changed the water and turned up the air and she/he seems ok thanx for ur help

I read that ur tank wasnt cycled in another post and I replied to it there. Id test ur water frequently and do water changes every few days. I could have been an ammonia spike which affected him so keep a close eye on him and his water. If you dont have test kits for ammonia, nitrites and nitrates then ask if you can get ur water tested at a local aquarium store.
