My axolotl has a lump behind its left gills. It is about the same size as a sesame seed and in the middle, there is a white dry looking bit the size of a grape seed. My axolotl is around 2 years old and is not showing any sign of any abnormal behaviour and everything else looks fine to me. The spot is only on the left side and does not look like it is "spreading" bit does seem to slowly be getting slightly larger. Other than that they seem well but I don't want to leave the spot in case it is something bad that I shouldn't ignore. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
