hi Jenny,

I live in Milton Keynes and i have a great pet shop by me. If they run out of Axo's they will get them in.

I would rather get them from a pet shop as then you seen them before you get them.

If you are having trouble finding them, i may be able to help. But you will have to arrange the collection/delivery of the axo's. I can buy one from my pet shop and sent it up to you.

But im sure that there are some axo breeders out there in the uk that maybe able help.

I have the same problem. Here in Finland absolutely NONE pet shops have axolotls, nor can they order them. I managed to find my axolotls by sheer luck from someone who had apparently brought them from abroad.

If anyone knows of a place that could send axolotls by post, I'd gladly hear too!

It's hard getting axolotls from across borders due to CITES. Good luck!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
