Male Cynops behavior

My male Cynops are courting their female and have developed nice dark circles on their tails. In addition they have been scratching their parotid glands with their hind feet. Has anyone else seen this type of behavior?

Sounds familiar! I think they scratch when they are shedding, I see my females do that too sometimes. Is it a pyrrhogaster?
