Male or Female Spotted Salamander

I have a salamander that is black with yellow spots all over and is approx. 8-9 inches long (head to end of tail). I was wondering how you tell if its male or female?

I've asked this question before, and yes it there, but it is easier to tell when it's mating season. Also, they will not breed in captivity.
