Maumee river mudpuppies

Hi everyone. I recently moved toledo from Michigan, leaving my necturus spot quite a drive away. I'm not asking for specific locations ( but if you want to tell me some locations I'd take em) but does anyone know about the status of necturus in the river? The habitat looks nice and I know there's a good population in Lake Erie, but I also know the area around the river is highly agricultural and there's a lot of shallow stretches that are as warm as bathwater in the summer.

Any knowledge of the area would be very appreciated! I really want to photograph a large adult in its habitat.
