I thought maybe we could do some cooperation here, I will try to get the ones that nobody here has and will distribute these in exchange for the ones that you have.

Of course this involves some of you wanting these articles, maybe you have them already?

elaphe and Salamandra are "journals" of the DGHT, and you can order copies of the articles from them at their offices (www.dght.de has contact information, I believe). These are amateur journals, elaphe more than Salamandra (sorry, but they are, though some of the articles in Salamandra are written by biologists) so I doubt any University would have them.

I'm sure someone on Caudata.org has the elaphe and Salamandra ones though.

I subscribed to these for I think 2 years but stopped subscribing because most of the articles didn't interest me. Unfortunately I have none from those years. I have an English translation of Max Sparreboom's article on Tylototriton verrucosus from a few years ago, along with a translation of Jurgen Fleck's article on Tylototriton in the same issue. These are complete with photos and in PDF format (someone will probably sue me for making them or distributing them though) - let me know if you're interested.

Chinese Journals are rarely subscribed to in the West, so I don't fancy your chances of getting some of those.

I was told the same thing by Nate, on chinese papers that is. I'm not giving up that easy though, I'll try to call in some favours of some chinese friends(I never ate them you know....)
to start off with - I'll probably get a bad translation to french but that will do
Thanks for the info John - yeah, they sure didn't look like the articles I am used to
