now hinchcliff has died.dont think my 1st batch is going to survive. ive now named another one soloman pronounced sola-mun.lol.well if my 1st ever batch of axies all die then i can try again with my eggs which are now hatching. hopefully they will b a success.if not then i can try again next year when they will more than likely have more eggs!lol.

COULD ANYONE TELL ME HOW BIG BABY NEWTS START FROM PLEASE ?

Trevor,

Baby axolotls hatch at around 1cm..

Please in furture post your questions in the correct place, or start a new thread.

this is the axolotl forum.you should ask in the other forums because there is more chance of newt owners being in there.

erm...they might be the same size as axie babies...they are around 10-13mm long when they hatch!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
