Moss vivariums

Hi I have 6, 40L tanks filled with moss, I have tons of mopanee bog wood, and a fish breeding room which doesn't have fish any more, I want to make newt and salamander vivaria could you suggest me some set ups) There are no caudata imports to Mexico and some times everyo 2 -3 years fire belly newts are imported I want to set up all my breeding tanks for newsts and salamander setu ups or the time they are imported again to start a breeding colony. Please make some suggestions ! :)

Hi Zelthan, if you take advantage of the search facility in the fire-bellied newt forum (Cynops) you can search for threads that discuss terrariums, and many of them have photos of sample setups.

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
