I got my Axy (Walter) about 2.5 weeks ago. I got him from a friend who breeds axolotls and she gave me the tank and filter that she kept him in (20 gal. long tank and Fluval U2). Because I got Walter and the tank at the same time, I was not able to cycle it, and currently have him tubbed until it cycles. I am moving into summer housing in two weeks. I love on a college campus and will just be moving from one dorm to another. My question is, if I take all of the water out of my tank and save it in buckets to put back in after I move, will the Nitrogen cycle start over??
