Me and a good friend came across this little guy in the Detroit River. This event took place in early November. I decided to post this video because a lot of people tell in person that they only see big adults in the wild. Either dead or on a hook. In this video check out the beauty of this little salamander and how his colors mimic is natural surroundings. Enjoy!

Since I keep a mudpuppy, this video pertains to my interests. Love those little guys. ♥

Good video, Jaymes. When are you guys gonna come visit me? *sniff* I miss you guys! Snake Road closes March 1st! The critters will be on the move.

And as a side-note, Jaymes has this freakishly amazing ability to spot the tiniest larvae in the biggest most raging streams. He can pick out a 1cm larva in a class 5 rapid, I swear. It's incredible.

Kaysie I'd love to travel the famous "Snake Road". We can make plans for sure! As far as herping in streams and knee deep water, I've refining my skills for years. After spending such a long time out herping. You kind of understand nature a little more and you know where to find certain species and realize their element. Finding small larvae or stream/water dwelling newts and salamanders has always been my thing. Mudpuppies have always been my thing not to mention my very 1st salamander species ever kept. I hope everyone enjoys the video and take something positive from it.
