Hi,
I got my axies about 6 months ago and my albino axolotl started to develop tiny black spots all over his skin? It first they were only a few on its head, but now they are all over? What should i do? Is it just a skin pigmentation change?

Conditions:
-Water chemistry is regularly checked
-About 22 C water temperature stable
-They eat bloodworms ones every two days
-I keep them away from direct sunlight

He is absolutely fine, the spots are part of his natural colouring :D

are you sure? he didn't have them before?

I am, mine have some, I call them freckles. If you look at axolotl pictures on the forum you will see. They tend to show up as the axolotl gets older.

Thank god, i was so scared it might be some parasites or something. Thank you for the quick response :)

You are most welcome..you may find that she develops more as she gets older too.

also I'm pretty sure your albino is actually a leucistic. Black eyes, white skin, speckles.

Very cute leusistic. Spots are normal and I wish mine had a few like that. Mine have no freckles at all.

I think he is a leucistic my one boy kinda looks like that Goodnews no parasites!!! Yay ;)

Congratulations with your Axolotl, he looks very healthy! ;)

Thank you all for the input, you've been most helpful.
