Hello!
So I have been feeding my axolotl rain-worms pretty much since I got him,
in the beginning when he was still small sometimes I would feed him frozen fish, but I rarely do that anymore
It's cold lately and all rain-worms hid deep in the dirt so I have some trouble finding food :(

I came up with an idea to buy some special food for axolotls, it should be perfectly fine for him and seemed like a good solution
I bought some JBL Novo Lotl since I read that those should be alright

First time I gave it to him, I gave him about 5 pieces, but not long after he vomited (first time I have ever seen him do it as well)
I thought that maybe he ate something earlier or he is just not used to food like that
So I gave him some time and tried giving him like 1-2 pieces a day

Today I gave him a few at different times, at the beginning everything seemed to be fine, but last time he started thrashing around and acted as if he would vomit again - luckily he did not. But it was weird behaviour from him, he also at that moment started to "scratch" his gills with back leg as if it irritated him

Nothing like that ever happened when he ate rain-worms, not even when I fed him fish. I checked the date on pellets box and it's loooong before getting expired. Could it be that he is just not used or is it some bigger issue?

Ok pellets swell so only give a few at a time

the freaking out could be a pellet stuck in the gills it happens with worms and they even come right out the gill slits sometimes
