My large child

Everyone, this is Big Chungus. Born on 3/31, it turns four months old in a couple of days and is already a full 7 inches long! It was the first to hatch out of this clutch and has been the largest larva at every stage of development. Don't know if it's just an unusually fast grower or if it has some kind of Andre the Giant-style giantism and will be very large but only live half as long, but either way it will be interesting watching it continue to develop.

When should you start them on Daphnia?

No, they ate baby brine shrimp starting about a day after hatching. I didn't have a good source for daphnia at the time. BBS are a fine food as long as you rinse them thoroughly in fresh water before feeding to the larvae.

Ok, thank you. I just posted about the trouble I am having with Larvae. Maybe I am not rinsing the BBS well enough?
