Illness/Sickness: My little boy is not pooping=[

My little boy Yami is about 4-5 inches long, I feed him twice a day, morning and night with frozen blood worms. I don't have any substrate in the tank because I am about to get a new tank so I can put him and his sister in the same tank.

He didn't poop for 3 days, even though he eats and act normally. I am still worrying about it. He usually poops everyday or every other day. His belly is a little big, and touching the bottom when he is not moving,

I am not sure should I still feed him or not. Should I put him in the fridge? I know that his poop could be disintegrated but it never happens before.

PLEASE HELP MEE>.<

My big pretty boy and my little guy have both gone through this. My big fella didn't poop for like a week and a half and now poops maybe twice a week. Same with my little fella. It can depend on what you are feeding them as to how much they are actually taking in and whats left to poop out.

Example: my dog poops larger amounts when on dry food like biscuits compared to when he gets fresh meat he poops smaller sized poop and less often. Same with lotties. My guys poop less with worms than with pellets.

If you believe he is constipated then fridge him - it helps them a lot. But otherwise I would maybe leave him a little longer keep feeding him if he goes off his food or deteriorates then I would fridge.

Bloodworms do cause a bit of constipation when they are the only thing being fed. Try putting him on a mixed diet of bloodworms, diced earthworms, and soft sinking pellets. Feed him with worms two days in a row, then with the pellets one day, and repeat. I'm doing this with my own 6-month-old and so far he hasn't gotten constipated. It does sound like he may be constipated, so placing him in colder water, or in the fridge, for about 30 minutes to an hour should cause him to flush his system.

A VERY IMPORTANT thing to remember when buying earthworms, if you choose to buy the ones sold as bait, is that you should NEVER buy worms in a container that says "not safe for human (or fish) consumption". The kind that I buy is DMF Bait Co. brand, and is safe for axolotl food.

Earthworms are a better staple diet. At his size they would probably need cutting into smaller pieces so he can swallow them.
Mine normally poops everyday but sometimes he misses a day so I wouldn't be too worried yet. Also, at that size mine ate his poo occasionally, so perhaps he's eaten it.
