Could you please post a pic of what kind of colouring my little one could turn out to be like when grown? It seems to have so many gorgeous speckles / freckles

Eeeeeeep what a cutie!!! I'd have to guess it's a melanoid. Shine a light in it's eyes, and if they're solid black, it's 100% a melanoid.

If you see a shiny ring around the pupil, it could be a wild type, but it's so grey in your picture that I'm betting on melanism.

The eyes are 100% black
I love the wild types & am not so familiar with the others
So off I go to google them!

Sounds like it's definitely a melanoid then! They are cuties. They range between very dark black and spotty light grey.

Back legs are finally appearing =D

Sorry about the reflection but this is the only pic that shows his nearly invisible back leg >o_o< I'm so excited - it must mean I'm doing something right & he's growing slowly <3

I'm going to do a little tank overhaul in a couple of days to reduce the sand levels - I took the water to be tested today & surprisingly the levels were OK for a filter less tank - but he needs more room
