Hello..since i'm new to this forum i just want to show you some pics of my cutie Paddis. She's about 1 year old, 17 cm long and totally adorable! Paddis is my first and only axolotl (i've only had her a few months), and i have to say; what a personality

as you can se in the pictures the tank is quite simple and not so funny to look at.. but i got a lot of inspiration from this forum and your wonderful tanks, so i'm planning to make Paddis tank more interesting in the future

and.. by the way, doesn't your axolotls have trouble reaching for air at the surface? Paddis seems to be a terrible swimmer sometimes, so i just have about 15 cm water to make sure she's capable to get up to the surface. Well, maybe thats to be overprotective?

Anyhow, enjoy the pictures

(like this pic cause you can se her dark toes and.. well, that its a female *smile*)

Very nice pics monica. her toes look a bit odd in that last pic, and 15cm of water, shouldn't you have more. Believe me no matter how silly they look when trying to swim, They Can Swim

Paddis begging for food.. always hungry *lol*

no offence but ur axies feet look short....like the toes look cut off....is it meant to be like that??? my one has much longer toes and much longer gills.

maybe urs are just webbed and mine are not??
but urs is incredibly cute!!!!!!

Teesha; the impression of short toes is because they are webbed, just as you sad. (maybe she's a better swimmer than i first thought

)
And according to her gills, what i've learned that has to to with the oxygen. As far as i know Paddis hasn't gotten to much oxygen so maybe the gills will get bigger in time..? On the other hand, i don't think they look to small.
Do they?

Wow Monica! Your pictures are great! You can't even see the water. Amazing! And your axie is ever so cute

Lovely Pics Monica!
Paddis has lovely healthy looking Gills! I dont think it matters how 'big' they are so long as they are nice and bushy... Axolotls like any other creature come in all different shapes and sizes

Thanx everybody! and Karen- i agree, she has grown from 17 cm to 21,22 cm in three months and there is nothing wrong with her apatite what so ever, So she seems to be very healthy and happy. And as you said; axolotls is like any other creature- individually

I have given her more water now, and Luke- you were right! She's i great swimmer!
