My Lucy axolotl has red spots I need all the help I can get

My Lucy axolotl whom is 8 month old. Has had small red dots on her skin now for a week or two now. I took her to the vet twice they said they don’t really know other than it’s definitely Not red leg whew. He eats fine and seems happy. he’s in a 33 long with sand temp 60-63 ph 7.6
I’m trying to figure this out so I feel safe to give him a friend

    with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
