My male AFC escaped but females croaking?

My male african clawed frog escaped a few nights ago when i was doing a water change still havent found his wear abouts he'll be dried up dead some were now . But Ive just heard my female croaking? which is quite unusual as they female normally croaks when she doesnt want to breed? but theres no male in with her now just her in a tank?

Better frog proof your tank ASAP before your females escape too! Croaking noises seems to be the least of your worries here...
