Hi,

Since a week my axolotl named Koe, looks like this:

He is still eating fine and his behaviour is also normal.
But I'm worried about these dark speckles.

Does anyone knows what this is?

I believe your axolotl is a leucistic and the black "freckles" are normal for that morph. They tend to get more of them as they age. I am pretty sure thats whats going on but if not someone else will chime in and correct me.

leucistic thats the word where I was looking for ;)
hmm it is going so fast, last week there was nothing and now he has a lot of these black freckles.
Every morning he has more of them.

Some leucistic axolotls will develop a full black 'mask', while some develop no spots at all. It's just a matter of genetics. And it's completely normal.

Thanks for your anwser
I'm glad that there is nothing wrong with him :)
