Hard to tell from the view, but it appears to be a true frog, probably one of the species known to exist in the UK [Pelophylax and Rana]. Perhaps not a usual color form, but probably nothing "noteworthy".

The recorded species in the UK are:
Lithobates catesbeianus
Pelophylax kl. esculenta
Pelophylax ridibundus
possibly Pelophylax bedriagae [vicinity of London]
Pelophylax lessonae [possibly extinct but reintroduced]
Rana temporaria [native]

I have never seen a UK frog with that body shape, can you get picks from different angles? and how big was it?

I saw that on the NERAG list. I'm pretty sure it's just a very fat common frog (Rana temporaria)- red colour is not all that unusual.

That nose its obviously a Rana's nose with no doubts. Im assuming its a gravid, bloated or just very plump Rana temporaria witch is, Native to UK

Cheers,

Colour aside, the body shape is unusual, if it is a common frog(99.9% likely considering the lack of amphibian species in the uk) it must be the fattest i have ever seen.
