Mystery snails and Spanish ribbed newts

So I’m setting up my new tank and got some plants for it at a local expo. One seller offered me a free mystery snail with the plants. I didn’t think it’d cause any issue but I just wanted to double check that this guy is safe to have in with my newts.

It won't hurt the newts. They may or may not eat him. Same with any other snail.
