I just acquired a paddle tailed newt (labiatus) a week ago, and have been keeping him in a well filtered 10 gallon aquarium with live plants and a log to hide under. I'm planning on moving him up to a 20 long, and was wondering what kind of set-up would be most like his wild habitat (temperature, substrate, seasonal conditions, etc).
My goal is to attempt to breed him sometime in the future (pending finding a suitable mate), so if anyone has any breeding advice/insight it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the help!!
