Hello, I have this tiger salamander which has morphed a month ago, it ate anything that would move as a larva. It hasn't took food ever since it has morphed and I've been concerned. I dig it out to feed it as I don't know if it will naturally come out of it's tunnel. I have offered a dubia roach to it when I dug him out which it has tried to eat but spit out as it was too large (0.6~ inches) and won't take anything after. The thing that confuses me is how it is still in shape, healthy, and dig tunnels although it hasn't eaten in basically a month. I would like to know if I should wait for it to naturally come out of his tunnel to feed or dig him out to feed in the future. Thanks! Recent image of him:

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
