Hey all! I'm new here on the forums and in need of a little advice. I recently ordered a pair of T. Shanjings and have partially set up their new home. They are coming tomorrow and I want them to be as comfortable as possible so any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a 20 gallon terrarium which has about 2 inches of rocks(bottom) and 2 inches of T-Rex Jungle Mix(I added some leaf litter to the mix). There are two plants; a large Pothos and a small Wandering Jew. As the pictures show the terrarium is set under a window...it receives a little light and there is always some portion of the tank that is shaded. Is this ok or should I move it? I also plan on aquiring some wooden hiding areas for the newts.

The tank looks great! In order to keep the temperature down (which is almost always a good idea with caudates), I would recommend moving it to a less-sunny location. The plants you have can survive with no direct light. And the newts certainly can too.
